Sensory Processing Workshop- Understanding & Managing Anxiety

Monday 28th January 10am until 2.30p.m at Swaffham Community centre.

Are you, your children, your partner or people you work with……

Anxious? Uptight? Stressed out? Overwhelmed? Distressed? Over alert? Melting down? But not sure how to go about dealing with it?

Find sounds, textures and other sensory experiences easily become too much and overwhelming at times?

Have difficulties understanding or expressing emotions making it harder to manage anxious or worrying situations?

Struggle to find effective ways to relax and calm down?

If you can say yes to any of these then this workshop is probably for you. We will be exploring the key principles of anxiety and focusing specifically on identifying coping strategies drawn from the Sensory Integration Theory toolkit. We will be particularly thinking about people with neuro-developmental difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia and general sensory processing difficulties.

It will be suitable for both parents and carers of children with anxiety difficulties and for those who identify their own difficulties in this area and are looking for a different way of approaching these feelings. It will also be suitable for professional staff seeking to find ways to help their students / clients etc.
