World Day
A fantastic day was had by all yesterday for our World Day.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the dancing and music, so thank you to Unique Dance (Zoe Bull) and C.E.A.M.S. (Jon Lawrence) for their enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge that they shared. Many wonderful activities were being carried out in classrooms; Reception creating their own rockets for their topic of Space, Year 1 using bright coloured pastels and felt tips to create pop art relating to The Beatles, Year 2 creating very dramatic shadow pictures for Africa, Year 3 designing beautiful propaganda posters and using charcoal in the afternoon to complete eye opening pictures relating to World War 1, Year 4 making their own board games, not an electronic in sight, for their topic of '100 years ago', Year 5 making very intricate brooches using match sticks and tin foil and Year 6 creating their own little drama sketches based on the Slave Trade.
Both staff and children had a thoroughly enjoyable day. I hope they came home telling you their new knowledge.
